Micro Trend For Fall: Window Sill Lamps
It's time to light up the window sill with more than candles... Try these small lamps for a little ambiance and to cozy up your home for Fall.
“Roxanne… You don’t have to put on the red light…” I keep seeing small lamps on windowsills - you too? I love it! It was definitely a thing when I was growing up, and seen often in Sweden whenever I’ve traveled there, but recently I’m spotting lamps in styled images for brands (like Zara Home) and in printed catalogs so I’m calling this a micro trend for cozy Autumn/Winter decor.

Would you put a light on your windowsill or do you prefer candles for colder months?
Tip 1: Lights can be chosen with or without cords - portable lamps are also a micro trend.
Tip 2: Choose a lamp with a base that is small enough (and shade) to fit the space. The lamp shade shouldn’t touch the window and the base shouldn’t be teetering on the edge.

Here’s a nice selection of lamps that would work in most window sills that are with or without cords. I love the cordless portable lights so much, especially on tables outdoors (particularly on my balcony table!) and window sills. I often forget I have candles on so I do worry that eventually I’ll burn my house down. A portable lamp is a good idea for people like me who lose their keys a lot and can’t remember what I did yesterday. #welcometomidlife
I selected neutral ones above since I know many of you are into the whole beige/minimalist trend at the moment but also because lighting is often an investment and you want something that will last which is why having most of your lighting more or less neutral is a good option if you’re a frequent re-decorator and like to move things around, that is.
I love this idea Holly! What a cozy addition to any room, as we move into hibernation mode. 😉
