I should have been sleeping. I should have placed my phone in another room before bed to avoid temptation. I should have had the strength to shut it down completely. Nope I was watching shorts, reels and memes in my bed at midnight. Again.

There was one meme in particular that stood out and I’m about to turn that meme into an essay because it got my brain all fired up. I woke up still thinking about it, which explains why I’m sitting here in my pajamas, before even having my first cup of coffee, when I should be getting ready for my day.

When I’m hot on something, I just press go.

So let’s discuss this meme.

It was titled “If authenticity were a person”.

It showed Adele at her concert, seated alongside her pianist, mic in hand, speaking to her audience in a gorgeous fitted black dress with a gold belt.

Adele explained that the night before she was eating Chinese after her concert, and that morning she was eating bacon and hash for breakfast, which caused her gold belt on her dress to be too tight - and that when she sits down it disappears and gets swallowed. She hadn’t taken her usual eposom salt bath to take away the bloat, etc. etc.

Adele was warm and jolly, dropping a few of her typical F bombs as she asked her pianist to remove her belt, telling him to be careful because it was solid gold and on loan, then she placed it on the floor and asked that whoever cleans up the stage after remember to return her belt.
