Hi Holly! Loved this truly! Just reading this bit brought more understanding and compassion to a recent contract that didn't turn out the way I'd expected it to. I learn best with I can shift my viewpoint around to see a different perspective. I also wanted to say thanks for the gift certificate for your class on mood boards. I didn't take it many because the timing was not right for me. Hope to do it another time.

I keep seeing Gift lists posted, I for one would like a Gift list for Substack authors I'd like to upgrade to paid. I'll be adding that to my personal list! You're right about the coffee! I went Starbucks last night and my decaf americano cost $5.23! For close to the same price I could have made a better coffee at home and shared some of your brilliant ideas with my friend who has drastically downsized recently.

You're on my "Nice" list for sure! I'll have to start a "naughty" list, too!

Oh thank you Corrine! Right now, and until Christmas, my Substack annual rate is 20% off so it's LESS than the price of that decaf americano now. :) Would love to see you upgrade to paid and come along for the ride for the next year. Thank you, as always for your support, free to paid, because just having you pop in and say something always makes me smile and feel good - like I'm maybe making a difference to someone out there.

Ha! Or should I say Hohoho! I was just reading your subscription page! Holly, you've been a big question mark in my life since you started. I've watched you grow your "crazy idea" over time and watched how it's evolved. Sometimes, when living in what feels like a shipwreck, someone else's light can lead the way to a new shore. You're one of those lights for me as I try out some of my own "crazy ideas".

I love what you do.

I appreciate this! I still live in the USA, but we left oyr home state to live 5 states away. The culture is MORE different than I ever guessed. We've been here 3.5 years. Finding my people has been the hardest thing to do. Thanks for encouraging us.

Oh that's still HUGE though. I remember moving from South Carolina to New England and I felt like I'd moved to Canada. :) ha ha ha

I totally resonate with the acknowledgement and giving credits where credit is due. It has happened to me as well as to the department where I work.
