Same same!! I used to do Christmas in dark green, white and metallic gold. Valentine's Day was okay in pink. Red was vile and brash and "red"neck people liked it and drove red pick up trucks without mufflers.

But then just recently I began to like barn door red. Or coral red. Or rosy red. I still can't stand purple- blue reds. It has to be dangerously close to orange or dark rose or maybe terra cotta.

I'm not sure what happened. Maybe it is some kind of virus?

Red is HARD… you have to find the right shade. Not easy.

I’m the same with red! I don’t wear it or decorate with it. Although a pop of red lipstick does do wonders. And it does sneak in during Christmas. I have this exaggerated looong red velvet Dr. Suess stocking I got on clearance after Christmas at Nordstrom about 15 years ago with brass jingle bells at the collar I use on my front door instead of a wreath every year. I stuff the stocking with paper and wrap cute little empty boxes to stick out of the top along with a little stuffed dog/reindeer character from The Grinch that stole Christmas story.

It’s as far as I can go with red! 😂

The Netflix documentary on Martha was great!! Loved it! I remember borrowing her weddings book from the library because I could not afford it and devouring every page as I tried to plan my own little wedding!!

Red is a favorite of mine. 😜 I love all reds. Especially darker ones. It also looks good on me so that might be a reason I love it. But I’ve never decorated with it. Touches here and there but that’s it.

the power of red, maybe that’s why it is so hard wo work with. I’ve always avoided it and secretly loved it and shows up in notebooks, nail polish and berry lips - perhaps one day a cape 💃🏻
