Many of us are collectors. Pottery, chairs, lamps, art, pets, dust, bills, things. With my allergies, I sadly can’t collect fur kids and I had to become a bit of a clean freak because I can’t live with dust either. But I definitely collect bills, art, ceramics and many other things which is precisely why I’ll never become a minimalist. Are you a collector? What do you collect?
The French home of Blomkål owners Romain and Loanah speaks to my heart because it’s a true collectors home. This creative couple designs cabinetry and furniture for a living and they have their own paint collection, so I’m not surprised their home oozes with creativity and charm.
This kitchen space is divine - and perfect for those of us who can’t have just one type of pendant light, or live in a home defined by one set style. This space positively sings. Look at this abundance of lighting…
“I can’t decide!”, She said.
“Then don’t, we’ll take them all!”, He replied.
Now that’s a conversation rarely had with your husband, am I right?
I love the seating nook in the kitchen, a fantastic built-in space designed by this creative couple.
Everyone stylish has a TOGO chair from Ligne Roset, something with marble, one Moroccan carpet, a shell vase, and something from Ferm Living, am I right or AM I RIGHT? What a fun mix of things here, their home is like a mini shop.
I still adore this brass beauty, I saw this pendant many times over the years in Paris at some of my favorite shops and cafes. I also like the shot of black with the pink walls. My friend on Instagram called these walls “Mortadella” but porky Italian lunch meat and these pretty walls doesn’t sit right with me so let’s find another name for this tone of pink. Any suggestions?
Black and gold is a lovely addition to a space with pink because it elevates it, lending sophistication and a little edge, even.
Here’s a much larger view of this sweet little seating area. The home of collectors for sure! You can also tell they build cabinets for a living and they are quite creative with using every nook in a small space. I love that arched cut-out for sitting down to put your shoes on before exiting to the left.
Another broad view of the opposite end of the same living room. Do you like this style mix?
Wall murals and wallpaper in the kid’s room with wonderful skylights and white wooden flooring is always a favorite. That bed pops up in stylish homes a lot here in Europe, have you noticed? Also, I’d love a home with white wooden floors throughout. My friends would complain that it’s too hard to keep clean, but I’d say it’s worth the extra work to have them.
Another sleep space with a tropical mural this time. Not sure if this is where the parents sleep or what, but either way, it’s a great nook for relaxing under that wonderful skylight. It must be lovely to lay there at night and look up at the stars.
It’s Fall in the western world, though it feels like winter over the past few days, so PLEASE take me back to summer when patio spaces looked so welcoming and warm. What a fabulous space to entertain guests. Guess we have to wait until Spring!
Is this space also one that you find appealing and cozy? I still love that kitchen shot with all of those lights!
Hmm interesting
very inspiring.thank you
