Generally speaking, mixing patterns can be interesting. This particular line of photographs does not resonate with me. But, not to worry... all is good.
With bedding, I prefer more calmness to be honest. My bedcover has an "Indiennes" pattern, which is colorful and busy enough. So when mixing further textiles, I prefer solids. Perhaps a pillow gets a bit more freedom. That is about it.
Sounds fantastic - a pillow here, a pillow there, and you're happy! That's the beauty of decorating, we do as we wish and explore (or not) as we feel the need to. My bedding is all solids in 3 different colors and then white. I bring in pattern through a throw and some cushions. My sons bedding is all patterns - he has the cutest bedding and lots of mixing and matching so I really love to play with his bedding. I am bold with bedding in our guest bedroom, that bed is really a mix much like the photos above but in less zingy brights and more muted tones - more vintage-y.
I'm liking the idea of it. I have a en eclectic home and this sort of mix would fit right in, in perhaps a darker color way. My plan is to completely whiten our bedroom ( tiny window) and add color through textiles. You got me thinking now..
Thank you for this new topic.
